Good Bye Campbell Soup - South Sac Will Miss You

In a previous blog post I described how local politicians had brought home "the bacon."  Now it must be said that state politicians are burning the bacon.  Read on.

According to this article, the Campbell Soup plant in South Sac is beginning its promised job cuts: 290 workers by February 1st, then more by May 1st, and another cut by July 1st.

Why the closure? Higher Taxes? The California Air Resources Board's forced Cap and Trade auction for green house gas emission credits (which is another tax IMO)? Or just the high cost of doing business in California?

Legislators should find out and fix the problem so more businesses won't leave California.
